If you have a new email address or you are taking over for another member in the project here are some steps to take to make sure you get notified about all the same things as that user.

Following topics

It is important that the the new user is following the topics of the old user.

What does following mean?

When you follow a topic you get notifications about not just the creation of the topic, but all actions like comments and status changes in the topic.

Changing assignee/requestee

Filter by topics assigned to the user, select all and change the assigned user to the new user with the multi-select option in the right information menu.
The new user will then automatically be following those topics.
The same goes for requested.

Follow topic by topic

You can also manually follow a topic by selecting one topic at a time and using the follow action. If a user has commented on, or been mentioned in a comment or description they would also be following the topic.
To find all topics a user has commented on or been mentioned in can be a little complicated.
You can read about how to filter for the GUID of a user here.

After searching on the users GUID in a topic board you can follow each topic with the follow action.

If you follow all the topics the old user was following you will get the same notifications about them as that user.

Access control

To make sure you have the same access as the user you are taking over from it is important that you are part of the same teams as that user.

Access is often distributed through teams.
