Filtering in a topic board

You can open the filter panel in an topic board by clicking on the filter button to the left of the search bar in a topic board.

Filters

Note: The URL changes depending on what filters you have applied.

This makes it so you can share your current filtered topic board with other users that are part of the project.

If multiple of the same filters selected they are separated by a ,

If multiple filters are selected they are separated by &

Different filters and their URL equivalents:

No filter - status-type=all

Hide empty filters

The "Hide empty filters" toggle is off by default which means you see all possible filters.

You can turn this filter button on to hide any filters have no results.

My topics

Assigned to me

Assigned User - assigned-user=<User GUID>

Requested User - requester-user=<User GUID>

Requested by me - requester-user=<Your GUID>

Topics I follow - followed-by=me

mentioning me - mentioned=me

Note: If you share a link with the "Topic I follow" or the "mentioning me" filters active the user opening the link will have their topic board filtered for topic they follow and topics they have been mentioned in and not topics you follow and topics you are mentioned in.

To share topics you have been mentioned in please use text search

Created by me - created-by=<User GUID>

Status

All open status - status-type=open

Specific open status - status-type=<Status GUID>

Type

Type - type=<Type GUID>

Due date

Overdue - due=overdue

All with a due date - due=present

No due date - due=none

Updated

With the date filter you can select a timeframe for when the topics were last updated.

Updated - updated-from=<Epoch Unix Timestamp>&updated-to=<Epoch Unix Timestamp>

Assigned to

Assigned to no-one - assigned=unassigned

No team assigned - assigned-team=unassigned

Assigned to team - assigned-team=<Team GUID>

Not assigned to user - assigned-user=unassigned

Assigned to user - assigned-user=<User GUID>

Assigned operator - assigned-op=and

By default you can only search for the assigned user OR the assigned team.

In Catenda Hub you can set an assignee as user@team

To find all topics of this type, filter by the team and the user, and add &assigned-op=and to the end of the URL.

Requested by

Not requested - requester=unassigned

Not requested by team - requester-team=unassigned

Not requested by user - requester-user=unassigned

Requested by user - requester-user=<User GUID>

Created by

Created by user - created-by=<User GUID>

Milestone

Milestone - milestone=<Milestone GUID>

Custom field

Custom field has value - custom-field-has-value-<Custom field GUID>=true

Custom field specific value - custom-field-item-<Custom field GUID>=<Value GUID>

It is possible to filter for fields with specific values for fields with up to 10 values.

Custom field has no value - custom-field-has-value-<Custom field GUID>=false

Note: If a custom field is set as required it will always have a value.

You will therefore not be able to search for "has value" or "has no value" for a required custom field.

Label

Label - label=<Label GUID>

Filters that are not listed in the filter panel

Text filter - search=test

What can be found?

Partial matches of letters give result of corresponding titles, descriptions and comments.

Partial matches of a single number searches topic number, title and comments.

Searching for mentioned members or teams

Topics where a member or team have been mentioned in a comment or description can be found using the text search:

You can find all mentions of a user or a team if you perform a text search with the right GUID of that member or team.

The GUID of a member or team can be found in the URL on the user or teams member page.

Topic - issues=<Issue number>

With the topic filter you will be able to search for specific topics.
