Please check if you have any browser extensions or other programs that could be slowing down your Catenda Hub experience.

Browser settings

Best browser by memory usage on Windows (March 2026):

  1. Firefox

  2. Chrome

  3. Microsoft Edge

Zoom scale

Catenda is recommended to be used at 100% zoom scale.

Catenda works well with zoom scales between 75% and 150%

Large zoom scale

A large zoom scale can make some menus so large that they cover menus that are needed.
While graphics defined by width and hight might scale with the browser scale, graphics that are defined by pixels may become more pixellated when the zoom scale is increased.

A zoom scale of 125% or even 150% is recommended when sharing screens in meetings as this can make it easier for the people that follow along on the screen to follow what is being done.

Small zoom scale

Small zoom scale can result in graphics becoming so small that they are invisible.

Precisly displaying scaled down resources can be more demanding on the device.

A zoom scale of 80% or even 75% is recommended when interacting with the 3D viewer if the device can handle it.

Hardware acceleration

Please make sure you are using hardware acceleration.

Cookies

With the data stored in cookies your browser will be able to know if you are logged in and some of your preferences in Catenda projects. Some preferences can differ per project while others will be the same for all projects. If you change your preference by for example closing a menu this will be remembered across browser windows and tabs.
If you for example close the filter menu in one tab and then refresh that same page in another tab, the filter menu will be closed in that tab as well.

This way the browser also remembers if you were logged in or not.
Say you log out in one tab to log into another account and then refresh the page of another tab, you will find yourself logged in with the other account which might not have access to the project you were in.
