Note: Catenda Mobile is in early access and is being developed together with the customers in the Co-creation program. The app is not final and may still change considerably, so pages and buttons can look or work differently from what is described here.

Catenda is a mobile app for phones and tablets, available in early access.

Over time it will get all the features of Catenda Site, and more.

Catenda Site can still be used alongside it.

The following topics are described in this article:

1. Download Catenda

Before downloading Catenda, it is worth checking what it can do in the projects it will be used in.

The app has topics, locations, forms and documents, and the other features of Catenda Site are not in it yet.

Topics and documents work in every project the user is a member of.

Forms and locations can only be used in projects where they have been turned on, and for now that is only the projects of customers in the Co-creation program.

Form templates and locations are set up in the browser, and only in a project where the feature is turned on.

In other projects forms and locations can be opened, but they are empty and nothing can be added to them.

Where features are needed that are not in Catenda yet, or forms and locations are not turned on in the project, the app to use is Catenda Site.

How the app is installed depends on the device.

1.1 iPhone and iPad

Catenda is not in the App Store yet.

On iPhone and iPad it is installed through TestFlight, Apple's app for installing apps that are still being tested.

  1. Install TestFlight from the App Store.

  2. On the iPhone or iPad, open the Catenda invitation link.

  3. Accept the invitation in TestFlight and install Catenda.

1.2 Android phones and tablets

Catenda is installed from Google Play.

In the search results Google Play shows the app as Catenda, and only the app's own page shows it as Catenda (Early Access).

Important: On some Android phones and tablets, Catenda Site does not appear in a Google Play search, so Catenda may be the only Catenda app that shows up. To install Catenda Site on such a device, see Catenda Site - Troubleshooting

2. About Catenda

The Catenda app brings construction and infrastructure projects to the construction site.

The first version covers the four areas that make up most daily site work: topics, locations, forms and documents.

The rest of the features of Catenda Site follow in later versions.

Catenda AI is planned for a later version.

What is seen on site is described by speaking into the phone, and Catenda AI fills in the location, the form and the follow-ups.

More about the features in development is on the Catenda Site product page.

Each page of the app is described in its own article, starting from the article about the projects page.

3. Sign in

After installing the app, sign in with the usual Catenda email address and password.

Open Catenda and tap Sign in.

Enter the email address and password, and tap Sign in.

For a forgotten password, tap I forgot my password.

Catenda asks for permission to access the Catenda account.

Tap Allow access.

After signing in, the projects page opens.

The article about the projects page describes how to find and open a project.

3.1 Save sign-in information

While the permission screen is shown, the phone may offer to save the sign-in information.

Remember lets the phone fill in the email address and password next time, and Never does not save them.
