Locations page - Catenda Mobile

Navigate your project by building, floor and room in Catenda Mobile.

Written by Sjaak Velthoven

Note: Catenda Mobile is in early access and is being developed together with the customers in the Co-creation program. The app is not final and may still change considerably, so pages and buttons can look or work differently from what is described here.

The Locations page is opened from the bar at the bottom of the screen, after a project is opened on the projects page.

The Locations page shows the location structure of the project, such as buildings, floors and rooms.

Only the location structure has to be made in the browser.

Topics, forms and documents can be added to locations both in the browser and in the app.

Note: Locations can only be used in projects where they have been turned on, and for now that is only the projects of customers in the Co-creation program. In other projects the Locations page is empty.

The following topics are described in this article:

1. Browse locations

Locations are shown as a tree: a building holds floors, and a floor holds rooms.

The minus sign next to a location collapses the locations under it.

An image icon under a location means that it has a floor plan.

2. Open a location

Tapping a location shows its floor plan with all pins, which can be zoomed and panned to the spot needed.

The drawer at the bottom of the screen pulls up to show every topic, form and document tied to that location, and switches between the floor plan and a list.

A topic or form created from a location gets that location automatically.
