If you select a document on the documents page or in a library a new window will appear for that document. You will always see the latest revision when opening a document.

The document page can look something like this:

  1. The document banner will be described in this article and spans across the top of the document page

  2. You will find the document header below the document banner and above the document preview

  3. Below the document header you will find the document preview

  4. To the left of the document header and preview you will find the document list

  5. To the right of the document header and preview you will find the right information menu

Here you will be able to see the location of your document in the document structure.

The list of documents in the same folder as this document

Go back to the folder the document is in

Progress bar

The progress bar displays the amount of documents in the folder that this document is in and how far you have come in the list.

Actions

Document actions can be found towards the top right of the document and can look something like this:

Right information menu

In the right information menu you will be able to find all information about the document.

Fullscreen

Click the fullscreen button to the right of the right information menu button to see the document in fullscreen.

Frequently asked questions

Downloading

Documents can be downloaded with the action button on the top right, with the download button in the revisions menu of the right information menu, by selecting it in the documents list and downloading it or from the preview dialogue.

You will be able to find the download action button in the right information menu.

Downloading the document from here will always give you the originally uploaded file.

If you select one document you will get the latest revision as a file with the revision name.

If you select more than one document you will get the latest revisions of the selected documents in a zip file with the document name and the revision number.

Document preview

If your document can be previewed you will be able to find the save as button in the hamburger menu on the top left of the documents preview.

With the save as menu you will be able to download your document with annotations and comments.

Document revisions

Documents can be empty but will usually have at least one revision.

A revision can be seen as a version of the document.

When you open a document you will see its latest revision.

Previous revisions can also be found

The standard revision is a public revision.
If document statuses have been enabled in document settings the document may contain draft revisions.

A document can be linked to many different places around Catenda Hub.


Approvals

If document statuses have been enabled in document settings a draft revision of a document can be part of an approval

Collections - A document can be part of a collection which might be private, shared with the project or shared externally.

Linked objects

It is possible to link objects from models in the models section to a document
