Documents can be found in the file structure of the documents page or in a library and can be viewed in two ways.

  1. Enter the latest revision of the document by clicking on the document name.

  2. Select the document to see is information in the right information menu.

Revisions

Documents can be empty but will usually have at least one revision.

A revision can be seen as a version of the document.

When you open a document you will see its latest revision.

Previous revisions can also be found

The standard revision is a public revision.
If document statuses have been enabled in document settings the document may contain draft revisions.

Properties

You can read about the different columns that a document can have in the table view of the documents page here

Access control - Access can be configured on a per member/team per document basis

History - The history of any changes to the document and who made the changes when.

Links

A document can be linked to many different places around Catenda Hub.


Approvals

If document statuses have been enabled in document settings a draft revision of a document can be part of an approval

Collections - A document can be part of a collection which might be private, shared with the project or shared externally.

Linked objects

It is possible to link objects from models in the models section to a document

Downloading

Documents can be downloaded in two ways.

Right information menu

You will be able to find the download action button in the right information menu.

Downloading the document from here will always give you the originally uploaded file.

If you select one document you will get the latest revision as a file with the revision name.

If you select more than one document you will get the latest revisions of the selected documents in a zip file with the document name and the revision number.

Document preview

If your document can be previewed you will be able to find the save as button in the hamburger menu on the top left of the documents preview.

With the save as menu you will be able to download your document with annotations and comments.
